Free

The word free always gets me. Doesn’t it get you? I mean, who wouldn’t wanna get on with anything that has the word FREE attached to it? Take for example: FREE Food, FREE Show, FREE Access, FREE stuff.

Blame it on human nature, we’re all born suckers for FREE stuff.
In the marketing world, however, the word FREE connotes so many meanings.
It is the first, best way of promoting and attracting the customers to buy products or consume services of a company. It is more often hand-in-hand with a product that has often been found to be useful and effective and something that the customers will most likely purchase.

Marketing agencies should use the word FREE with great and extreme caution so as not to mislead and deceive the customers and clients that will be purchasing the product plus the free item or service.

When a product being sold offers another less expensive commodity, it means that the customer will only be paying for the regular price of the product, and will be getting the less expensive product for nothing. In sales marketing strategies, there are various promos and offers that would catch a consumer’s eye and make them want to buy the said products. Some of these promos are the “Buy 1, Get 1 Free,” “Buy 1, get 1 at half price,” “70% off,” etc.

It is only believable that not one single person who shops will not be attracted by these flashing signs and freebies. Admit it, you have been one of them.
